At some point I got tired of piecing together advice from forums and generic gear sites written by people who clearly had no idea what a 2E or 4E width actually feels like on a 10-mile trail. So I started keeping my own notes. Testing boots properly. Figuring out which brands actually build for wide feet and which ones just say they do.
